As a Payroll Coordinator , you'll play a key role in ensuring employees and subcontractors are paid correctly and in accordance with prevailing wage laws. What You'll Do as a Payroll Coordinator In this role, you'll take ownership of payroll compliance processes while partnering with internal teams and subcontractors: Payroll & Compliance Coordination Track project details including wage determinations, contract terms, and mobilization timelines Ensure payroll submissions meet prevailing wage (Davis-Bacon) requirements Support accurate reporting for both company and subcontractor payroll Subcontractor Support & Onboarding Guide subcontractors through payroll setup and compliance requirements Collect and organize certified payroll documentation Serve as a go-to resource for payroll and compliance questions Reporting, Tracking & Communication Provide weekly updates on payroll status, outstanding items, and compliance risks Track and document issues, ensuring timely resolution Maintain organized, audit-ready records across systems Process Improvement & Documentation Help build and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) Support scalable, efficient payroll compliance processes Assist with audits, year-end reporting, and regulatory requirements Data & Systems Work Use Excel to track, analyze, and report on payroll and compliance data Enter and maintain data across payroll platforms, client systems, and government portals What You Bring as a Payroll Coordinator Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounting support, or administrative roles Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal teams and external partners Solid Excel skills (tracking, organizing, and analyzing data) Nice to Have Experience with prevailing wage or certified payroll (Davis-Bacon) Construction industry experience Familiarity with payroll/compliance systems (e.g., Dili or similar platforms) What You'll Gain as a Payroll Coordinator Specialized payroll expertise in prevailing wage and compliance Exposure to large-scale construction projects and operations Opportunity to build skills in audit readiness, reporting, and process improvement A role where your work has visible impact across projects and teams Work Environment & Culture Collaborative and team-oriented environment Fast-paced but structured workflow with clear expectations A culture that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement Supportive leadership focused on employee development and growth If you're a detail-oriented professional looking to grow your career in payroll and compliance , this is a great opportunity to develop in a specialized and in-demand area while contributing to meaningful, high-impact work.
