Danbury, FT onsite
Compensation:
$65,000 + depending on experience Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator with a strong background in construction, union payroll, and prevailing wage compliance . This individual will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple entities while maintaining compliance with collective bargaining agreements and regulatory requirements. Join a well-established, growing organization with a strong presence in the construction industry Be part of a team where payroll is mission-critical and highly valued Work in a role that offers variety and complexity —no two payroll cycles are the same Collaborative, team-oriented environment with close partnership across HR and Finance Opportunity to own and streamline payroll processes across multiple divisions and systems Key Responsibilities Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll across multiple divisions Administer union payroll in accordance with collective bargaining agreements Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of prevailing wage rates, fringes, and classifications Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in compliance with regulatory requirements Maintain detailed payroll records, including job costing, labor allocations, and deductions Manage payroll data across multiple systems (HH2, Workeasy, BambooHR, Sage), ensuring accuracy and consistency Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality Partner closely with HR and Finance on new hires, terminations, and compensation changes Support payroll reconciliations, reporting, and year-end processes Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency What We're Looking For 3+ years of payroll experience within the construction industry Hands-on experience with union payroll processing Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws and certified payroll reporting Experience managing multiple payroll schedules simultaneously Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) strongly preferred High level of accuracy, organization, and ability to meet strict deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Ideal Candidate Profile Detail-oriented and highly accountable— accuracy is second nature Comfortable navigating complex payroll environments with multiple moving pieces Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of their work Team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced environment Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism #LI-EL1 #INAPR2026
