Payroll Lead TriSource - 3.9 Washington, DC Job Details Temporary $30 - $40 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications English Research Payroll management Data management Attention to detail Construction industry experience Full Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Payroll Lead to oversee weekly payroll operations for a growing construction company with approximately 105 employees. This role will be responsible for compiling and reviewing payroll data submitted from the field, coordinating payroll processing through Foundation software, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution in a fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of the payroll process, is highly detail-oriented, and can work effectively with multiple systems and moving pieces. Experience within construction, contracting, or field-service environments is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee weekly payroll processing for approximately 105 employees Review, audit, and compile payroll data submitted through HeavyJob and Connecteam systems Prepare and transmit payroll information to Foundation for final payroll processing Ensure payroll accuracy including hours worked, deductions, garnishments, PTO, and employee changes Research and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain payroll records and support payroll reporting and documentation requests Process manual checks and assist with check distribution as needed Coordinate with field teams and internal management to ensure timely payroll submissions Support payroll compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws Assist with new hire setup, employee changes, and termination processing Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information Provide administrative or HR support as needed Qualifications 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably within construction, contracting, or field operations environments Experience processing weekly payroll for hourly employees Familiarity with payroll systems such as Foundation, HeavyJob, Connecteam, or similar construction payroll platforms preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment Knowledge of multi-state payroll and DC labor laws is a plus HR or employee administration experience is a plus Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred but not required Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
