This role offers strong exposure to job costing, labor tracking, and construction‑specific payroll compliance, giving the Payroll Specialist a highly marketable skill set. Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist Process full‑cycle weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance as the Payroll Specialist Verify hours, job numbers, and task coding while reconciling time reports and collaborating with department heads and project managers as the Payroll Specialist Manage payroll deductions, including 401(k), benefits, tools, and garnishments, while maintaining accurate employee records as the Payroll Specialist Execute weekly payroll workflow, including time validation, PTO entry, payroll adjustments, reporting, and check processing as the Payroll Specialist Run payroll reports, support leadership with payroll data, and maintain documentation while assisting in filing and cross‑department support as the Payroll Specialist Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist 5+ years of full‑cycle payroll experience in a high‑volume environment Construction payroll experience strongly preferred, including exposure to job costing, certified payroll, or Davis‑Bacon requirements ERP system experience required (Vista, Viewpoint, or similar); strong attention to detail and process discipline What You'll Gain as a Payroll Specialist Stable, long‑tenured organization with strong leadership and culture Family‑oriented environment that values collaboration and autonomy Participation in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Predictable, structured payroll workflow with clear expectations Long‑term career growth within a well‑established construction company #
