Job Title:
Administrative Associate We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Associate to join our team. This multi-faceted role will provide administrative support to the Transportation Department, with a specific focus on payroll tasks. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and possess strong communication skills. This position requires proficiency in office operations, communication, multi-tasking, and performing payroll-related duties with accuracy and confidentiality. Manage and maintain office supplies, equipment, and records. Answer phones, direct calls, and handle correspondence (emails, letters, etc.). Schedule and organize meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Assist with general office tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining digital and physical records. Assist Department Management in developing operational policies and guidance directly related to customer service objectives and expectations. Collect, review, and verify employee work hours, overtime, and absences. Process payroll on a bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Daily use of the ADP payroll software system. Assist with recruitment activities once they have been turned over by Human Resources, including reviewing applications and scheduling interviews. Coordinate and support employees' onboarding and orientation processes for the Transportation Department. Help coordinate employee training, development, and performance evaluation processes in accordance with the Transportation Department's policies and procedures.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in administrative support and payroll. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and payroll software systems. Strong understanding of payroll software systems. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Working Conditions:
