We are based out of St. Petersburg, FL. We are a leader in healthcare staffing with a primary focus on providing revenue cycle staffing services to the healthcare market. Job Summary The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves maintaining payroll records, responding to employee inquiries, and coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate compensation and deductions. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for all employees in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Maintain and update employee payroll records in payroll system. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll procedures. Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws, regulations, and company policies. Generate and submit reports for tax filings (e.g., W-2s, 941s) and audits. Collaborate with the Credentialing and Sales Team to process new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes affecting pay. Stay informed of changes in tax laws, wage regulations, and best practices in payroll processing. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of payroll processing experience. Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally. Preferred Skills Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred. Experience in multi-state payroll processing.
