Job Description
Job Overview We seek a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk/Customer service Representative to join our office team. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate invoicing to our customers and reports on monthly account balances, process transactions, assist with deposits as necessary, and do data entry for payment to customer sites. Past or present experience with a restoration /carpet cleaning or service-based company would be ideal. This role requires an understanding of Fieldaware billing systems, customer service skills, and the service business; dedication to accuracy and on-time schedules with regards to invoicing and collections. Duties Entry of new jobs and management of a single customer base of jobs from entry to invoicing and providing specific reports and backups every month as necessary. Perform account reconciliation of customer databases with the main invoicing system. Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification Utilize Field Aware data to invoice customers Ensure that required reports and billing are completed promptly Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes. Cross-training on customer service calls for service and backup to dispatch for technicians Experience Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred, with a focus on accounts payable and or payroll. Preference of experience in the service industry, e.g., carpet cleaning, pest control, HVAC, restoration, etc., and dealing with high volumes of customers and invoices. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.
