Description Divisional Payroll Specialist
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a detail-oriented Divisional Payroll Specialist to support accurate, compliant, and on-time payroll processing across multi-state operations. This role partners closely with divisional HR, Benefits, and Payroll teams nationwide to maintain accurate payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and support payroll system processes and improvements. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and clear communication are critical for success in this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Review daily payroll audit reports and set up new associate payroll records Review, summarize, and validate timekeeping data using Kronos Process weekly payroll for corporate associates, ensuring accuracy and compliance Run standard and business intelligence (BI) payroll reports to support divisional locations Process deduction mass uploads and maintain payroll data integrity Perform weekly payroll close activities for multi-state, union and non-union associates Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing, moving expense summaries, and gross-up calculations Participate in payroll process improvements, system upgrades (UltiPro), and maintenance of payroll SOPs
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Associate's degree from a nationally or regionally accredited program (preferred) 3+ years of relevant experience in general accounting or payroll functions At least 1 year of multi-state payroll tax processing and reporting experience Working knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax laws and regulations Experience using payroll and timekeeping systems (UltiPro and Kronos preferred) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel High level of accuracy, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information Ability to identify payroll discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
THE SCHEDULE & SETTING
Full-time, professional office-based role Supports multi-state payroll operations across corporate and divisional locations Regular interaction with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and Accounting teams Periodic increased workload during payroll close and year-end processing
