PAYROLL SPECIALIST
- Corporate Office (On-Site) - Woodstock, Georgia Essential Duties & Responsibilities Process Payroll Manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles, including timecard review, tax deductions, and garnishments Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations File payroll taxes, including income tax and Social Security payments Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and provide payroll reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) to the Accounting Department Reconcile payroll discrepancies and manage benefits deductions Support accurate financial recording, tax compliance, and expense tracking Pension & Retirement Reporting Complete pension reporting in compliance with ERISA standards Provide transparent and accurate financial updates to beneficiaries Prepare and submit 401(k) data accurately and in a timely manner Payroll Records Management Maintain accurate and confidential payroll files for auditing and compliance purposes Track employee data including deductions, tax exemptions, and personnel changes Compliance Oversight Ensure payroll practices align with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), Service Contract Act (SCA) regulations, and Company Handbook policies Maintain accurate job classifications and detailed records HR Support Assist HR with onboarding and termination processes in the payroll system Ensure employee records remain accurate and compliant Employee Support Provide prompt, accurate, and consistent responses to employee inquiries Address questions regarding pay, deductions, tax forms, and benefits Reference applicable CBAs, SCA regulations, and company policies when responding Benefits & Accrual Tracking Track and manage benefit accruals, including PTO, sick leave, Health & Welfare, and pension benefits Garnishments & Legal Orders Process garnishments and court orders in compliance with legal requirements Verify authenticity and employee applicability Notify employees in writing and initiate withholding within required timelines Time & Attendance Oversight Ensure accuracy of timekeeping systems Enforce policies consistently and conduct regular audits System Management Set up new employees in payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now), including wages, schedules, and deductions Input and update employee schedules as needed Special Projects Support audits and complete quarterly and annual reporting for Accounting and HR Participating in additional projects as assigned Qualifications Experience Previous experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms Minimum 1 Full Year experience in SCA or CBA Payroll Skills & Competencies High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude Proficiency in Excel and data entry Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulation. •Pay is competitive and based on experience.•A background check and drug screen will be conducted for this position.
