Job Description

Position Summary Service provider is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to manage and process employee payroll accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, knowledge of payroll systems, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while ensuring compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for approximately 65 employees. Maintain accurate payroll records, employee data, and tax information. Review timesheets, attendance records, bonuses and deductions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Handle payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries promptly Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments regarding employee changes Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits as needed Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, benefits deductions, and direct deposits Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications 2+ years of payroll processing experience Knowledge of payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar systems Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax compliance Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Major holidays Retirement plan options How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your payroll experience and salary expectations to jorge@grassriveraccounting.com.
