The Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting payroll activities in partnership with outsourced payroll providers. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external payroll vendors. What you'll be doing: Assist in reviewing and validating payroll data prior to submission, including timekeeping records, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments. Audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the vendor and internal departments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Support year-end processes including W-2 review, tax filings, and audits. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner. Assist in the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and processes. Monitor vendor performance and participate in periodic reviews and evaluations. Additional Responsibilities as Assigned. We'd love to hear from you if: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably with outsourced payroll providers. Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex, etc.) and HRIS platforms. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of confidentiality and attention to detail. FPC/CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.Similar remote jobs
