Job Description Part-Time Contract:
Payroll Support Specialist Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Support Specialist (Contract, Part-Time) to support payroll operations across multiple pay cycles, including biweekly, weekly, and monthly processing. This role plays a key part in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and data integrity, while also contributing to cross-functional initiatives in benefits, reporting, and payroll system enhancements. Key Responsibilities Assist in processing payroll across biweekly, weekly, and monthly cycles Review, audit, and correct timecards to ensure accuracy and compliance Research and resolve payroll tax issues , including filings, discrepancies, and corrections Support payroll data audits and system corrections to maintain integrity and compliance Partner with HR and Finance to investigate and resolve payroll-related inquiries Contribute to cross-functional projects, including: Benefits administration support State reporting and compliance initiatives Payroll process improvements and data integrity efforts Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with compliance standards Required Skills & Experience Hands-on experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now (or a similar system) Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations (federal, state, filings, and corrections) Strong attention to detail with ability to work in high-volume, deadline-driven environments Foundational knowledge of accounting principles (reconciliations, debits/credits preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data cleanup, reporting, basic formulas; pivot tables a plus) Experience using timekeeping systems and standard business communication tools (e.g., Outlook) Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues and collaborate cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multi-state payroll operations Exposure to benefits administration and reporting processes Prior involvement in payroll audits or compliance projects
