Payroll Lead Leoforce•3.0 Libertyville, IL Job Details $80,000•$110,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Payroll tax processing Spreadsheets Full Job Description Overview Growing infrastructure-focused organization seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support high-volume, weekly payroll processing in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for accurate payroll execution, employee record maintenance, and payroll-related compliance.

$80,000•$110,000 per year Job Details•
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly in-house payroll (~1,800 employees) including union and non-union populations Handle direct deposits (~1,500) and paper checks (~50); transmit payroll data to banking partners Maintain employee records: onboarding, terminations, pay rates, deductions, garnishments Support garnishment processing, VOEs, new hire reporting, and tax-related inquiries Assist with quarterly/annual tax filings and W-2 processing Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies Collaborate on payroll projects and process improvements
Requirements:
3+ years of high-volume, in-house payroll experience (union exposure strongly preferred) Experience with job costing and/or construction payroll is a plus Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, and compliance Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive Strong communication skills with a service-oriented mindset A bit about us:•A leading, privately held infrastructure contractor with decades of experience delivering complex electrical and foundation solutions across the United States, this organization partners with developers, utilities, and government entities to execute high-impact projects in transportation, energy, and mission-critical environments.
