Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
OFFICE BILLER AND RECEPTIONIST
to join our healthcare administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing medical claims, managing billing procedures, and ensuring timely reimbursement. A strong understanding of medical coding and billing systems is preferred. The
OFFICE BILLER AND RECEPTIONIST
also plays a crucial role in facilitating smooth communication between healthcare providers and insurance companies. Inexperienced and uncertified billers with an interest in learning are welcome to apply. On the job training will be provided. Responsibilities Prepare and submit medical claims Review records for completeness and accuracy before billing Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection processes Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and billing regulations Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and patient account issues Ensure confidentiality of all records and billing information in accordance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation needed for proper coding and billing Requirements/Preferences Strong knowledge of medical terminology is preferred Familiarity with medical collection procedures and insurance claim processes is preferred Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in billing operations Ability to interpret complex medical documentation and translate it into correct codes is preferred Prior experience working with medical office software is preferred Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA is essential
Pay:
$19.50 - $20.00 per hour
