Job Description
Overview Responsible for accurate, timely processing of payroll and related tax filings, benefits deductions, and recordkeeping for assigned employee populations. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, supports audits, and serves as a payroll subject-matter contact for HR and employees. Experience Proven experience in payroll management using software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Familiarity with financial concepts related to benefits administration, tax experience, accounts payable/receivable, and governmental accounting is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy and analysis skills for payroll audits and reports. Knowledge of HRIS systems like Kronos or UltiPro combined with proficiency in Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
