Full Time Engagement Professional - Payroll Specialist

Position OverviewRobert Half is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Full Time Engagement Professionals program based out of Princeton, New Jersey. This role offers the stability of full time employment with Robert Half while supporting a variety of client payroll engagements across Central New Jersey.

As an FTEP Payroll Specialist, you will support critical payroll operations for client organizations, ensure payroll accuracy and compliance, and gain exposure to multiple industries and payroll environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport client engagements in payroll focused rolesProcess weekly, biweekly, or semi monthly payrolls accurately and timelyEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsManage multi state payroll processing for hourly and salaried employeesSupport payroll for union and non union populationsPerform payroll related reconciliations and support month end close activitiesRespond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll discrepanciesSupport audits, reporting, and payroll related documentation as neededLocation and Work ModelThis role supports clients primarily in the Princeton and Central New Jersey market. Assignments may be onsite, hybrid, or remote depending on client needs.
