Job Description

Payroll Clerk - MelroseOur Melrose, MN office is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to add to our Accounting Team as a full-time Payroll Clerk. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and supporting various payroll and human resource functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Processes bi-weekly payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
  • Process payroll tax payments and assist with year-end reporting (W-2s, 1099s, etc.).
  • Regular auditing of time clock transactions.
  • Administers corporate credit card program.
  • Assists with audits of insurance, employee benefits, and vendors.
  • Assists with onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Assists with recruitment processes.
  • Maintains and updates employee records, both digital and physical.
  • Performs office tasks, including electronic filing and data entry.
  • Checks for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings.
  • Assists with ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state employment laws.
  • Performs various administrative tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
  • Previous experience in payroll processing is preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, specifically MS Office (Excel and Outlook).
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
SCHEDULE
On-site; Full-time; Monday - Friday
