Payroll Manager About the Role We're seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with experience in the construction industry to support accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple projects and job sites. This role is key in ensuring compliance with union agreements, certified payroll requirements, and prevailing wage laws while supporting dynamic processes across multiple active jobs deadlines. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for 500 field and office employees. Manage certified payroll reporting and ensure compliance with state, federal, and union requirements. Maintain accurate employee records, prevailing wage rates, and union wage rates. Handle deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions in coordination with HR. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly. Support audits, tax filings, and year-end reporting. Collaborate with project managers and accountants to obtain accurate labor data and align with job costing systems. Qualifications 3-5 years of payroll experience and/or construction industry experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act, union reporting, and prevailing wage laws. Proficiency in payroll software (Viewpoint Vista experience is a plus) and in Excel. High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Hourly pay rate based on payroll and/or heavy highway & bridge construction industry experience.
Pay:
$28.00 - $42.00 per hour
