Job DescriptionJob Description Payroll Specialist We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong background in high-volume, multi-state payroll processing to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise gained in a nonprofit environment and possess a proven ability to manage complex payroll operations across multiple entities and locations. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume, multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for multiple sites and legal entities. Perform comprehensive payroll audits to ensure compliance, accuracy, and data integrity. Administer employee wages, garnishments, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related adjustments. Manage quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and compliance requirements. Prepare, analyze, and distribute payroll reports for leadership, finance, and regulatory purposes. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and tax-related issues. Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee and payroll records. Support payroll system maintenance, enhancements, and process improvements. Qualifications Proven experience working in a nonprofit organization environment. Extensive experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll. Strong payroll auditing and reconciliation expertise. Deep knowledge of wage administration, garnishments, deductions, and payroll compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience managing quarterly and annual payroll tax filings and reporting. Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and interpret payroll reports. Experience processing payroll across multiple locations, business units, or legal entities. Advanced proficiency with Paylocity, including payroll processing, reporting, and system administration functions. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
