Payroll & Benefits Coordinator (Temporary)

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate:
$22.95 per hour Personnel World is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Coordinator for a temporary assignment with a well-established Lansing-area organization. If you have experience with payroll processing, benefits administration, employee enrollments, HRIS systems, and Excel reporting, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and maintain payroll records Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations Maintain employee information within the HRIS system, including wages, deductions, tax information, benefit plans, and personal data Generate, edit, and analyze payroll, benefits, and HR reports Verify payroll registers and resolve discrepancies Reconcile payroll and benefit-related accounts Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit providers regarding benefit changes and coverage Administer COBRA processes, including required notices and tracking compliance timelines Process payroll-related transactions, disbursements, and reporting Maintain confidential employee files and sensitive payroll information Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and payroll compliance activities Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed What We're Looking For Previous payroll processing experience required Benefits administration and enrollment processing experience required Strong Microsoft Excel skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel Experience generating reports and working with employee data Experience using HRIS systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Excellent communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with COBRA administration Crystal Reports experience Experience with PDS (Personal Data System) Payroll, HR, or benefits administration experience in a professional office environment Apply today if you are a detail-oriented payroll and benefits professional looking for your next opportunity. #IND1
