Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Tax Specialist to join our HR/Payroll team! In this vital role, you will oversee payroll tax processes, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and support accurate payroll management across various platforms. Your expertise will help streamline payroll operations, maintain precise records, and contribute to the overall financial health of our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge payroll software and collaborate with HR and accounting teams to deliver seamless payroll services. Manage and process payroll tax filings accurately and timely. Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for general ledger. Maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions, tax payments, and compliance documentation. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies, resolve issues related to accounts payable/receivable, and ensure correct tax calculations. Assist with audits related to payroll taxes, governmental reporting requirements, and non-profit accounting standards when applicable. Support benefits administration processes by managing deductions, tax credits, and other related adjustments in various financial software. Proven experience with payroll taxes Strong understanding of payroll concepts including debits & credits. Familiarity with accounting principles such as accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliation, and financial analysis skills. Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations related to payroll taxes Ability to navigate multiple financial systems Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to analyze complex financial decosions.
