We are looking for a detail oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing administrative team. Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Payroll Specialist to join our team! In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing, ensure accuracy in employee compensation, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations. Your expertise will help us deliver seamless payroll services that support our dedicated caregivers and staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a compassionate organization committed to excellence in human resources and financial management. Duties Process weekly/bi-weekly/monthly payroll for hourly and salaried caregiving staff. Verify timesheets, hours worked, and attendance records for accuracy. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and status changes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end documents (W-2s, 1099s). Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with HR and scheduling teams to reconcile payroll discrepancies. Support audits and generate payroll reports as needed. Skills 2+ years of payroll processing experience (experience in home care, healthcare, or staffing is a plus) Proficiency with payroll software. Strong knowledge of federal and Michigan state payroll laws and regulations. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
