If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Zeeland seeking experienced Payroll Specialists. Key Responsibilities Process multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employees. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Reconcile payroll data and prepare related journal entries. Administer timekeeping systems and resolve employee timecard issues. Manage year-end payroll activities, including W-2 generation. Calculate and process deductions for benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings. Collaborate with HR and finance departments on payroll-related matters. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state compliance. Experience with general ledger reconciliation and month-end close processes related to payroll. Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing.
