Hiring Department Student Affairs Job Description Summary:

Essential Functions:
Payroll Processing Manage bi-weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payroll activities. Ensure accuracy in every paycheck using Excel (PivotTables, V-lookups, etc.). Collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues and meet deadlines. Support training programs related to payroll and HR processing. Prepare detailed payroll and employee data reports. Maintain high standards of data security, confidentiality, and accuracy, ensuring compliance with all policies. Student Recruitment Processing Collaborate with department leaders to create and manage student position postings. Assist department leaders in processing student hires. Assist department leaders in processing unpaid appointments. Operational Support Assist with hiring, onboarding, and pay adjustments, ensuring employees feel valued. Handle inquiries via e-mail, phone, and walk-ins with professionalism and warmth. Assist with planning and execution of HR events to create meaningful experiences for Division teams. Assist with other projects as assigned. Shift Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This position may require evening and weekend hours for departmental activities and programs. Occasionally, additional hours may be needed for division and campus projects. Minimum Qualifications An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications Strong Communicator:
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Team Player:
Proven ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams.
Detail-Oriented:
Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
Tech-Savvy:
Demonstrated proficiency with employment databases (e.g., PeopleSoft), Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office systems. Knowledge of payroll systems.
Proactive:
Proven experience as a self-starter who can lead initiatives and solve problems independently.
Anticipated Hiring Range Salary:
$17.40 - $23.25 per hour
