Payroll Specialist

Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) is seeking a dependable and detail-driven Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role handles payroll processing, tax and benefit reporting, HR/payroll data entry, and related administrative support.

Key responsibilities include:

Process and maintain payroll records with accuracy Review and reconcile payroll reports (taxes, retirement, benefits) Enter and manage data in payroll and HR systems Process direct deposits, deductions, garnishments, and COBRA billing Prepare state and federal payroll tax reports Answer employee questions about pay, taxes, benefits, and leave Prepare letters, reports, and confidential documents

Qualifications:
