Averill Hospitality is seeking a Payroll Specialist for their Whitefish, MT properties.
General Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company's payroll for 400+ employees utilizing payroll software for accuracy and efficiency. This individual must have great communication skills to interact with our payroll processing company, human resources department and individual departmental managers. The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner. Essential Functions (Duties include but are not limited to): Communicate bi-weekly payroll deadlines with department managers. Receive approval of payroll from department managers. Provide complete payroll information to payroll processing company Review and approve payroll for accuracy and completeness. Prepare payroll funding reports, including entry into accounts payable. Prepare journal entries in company's accounting software system. Prepare invoices for maintenance billing and work orders. Prepare Workers' Compensation reports, filings, including payments. Prepare invoices for inter-company billing of allocated payroll costs. Assist Human Resources department in maintaining updated and accurate employee information. Bank account reconciliation. Balance Sheet reconciliation. Skills Proven experience as payroll specialist Experience in high volume, multi pay period processing Experience with multi-state payroll processing Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices Experience in Enterprise Resource Systems (M3 Labor Management & Accounting Core or similar systems.) Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software databases Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality Outstanding organizational skills with great attention to detail Excellent communication skills Good research and analysis skills Ability to Multitask Hospitality experience preferred: Familiarity with processing F&B payrolls What we offer: We're a spirited and adventurous bunch, driven by our appreciation for the outdoors, support of our communities, and dedication to our guests.
