Position:
The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Payroll Specialist in our Store Support Center (099). The Payroll Specialist will handle the day-to-day activities of the payroll department including the process of reviewing and loading payroll data on a weekly basis. In addition, this role will provide exceptional customer service to TFM store employees, via email, telephone, and case management system, on payroll items within the scope of the duties assigned.
What You'll Do:
Processing bi-weekly payroll for multi-state hourly and salary employees as supported by using UKG UltiPro and UKG WFD Dimensions. Calculate payroll adjustments for retro-active pay changes. Review, verify and help store management adjust time records in UKG Work Force Management - Dimensions. Identify and resolve time clock issues and support Store Managers in the approval processing UKG Work Force Management - Dimensions. Liaise with assigned stores to resolve inquiries with urgency and discretion. Make appropriate updates to employee details based on supporting instruction from HR and Benefits. Maintain accurate employee and payroll records in UKG UltiPro. Assign and calculate taxes for both work in and residential taxes. Have knowledge of and accurately apply state required Sick Leave, Holiday/Premium Pay and and minor restrictions. Interpret and apply garnishments for federal, state and other agencies. Including distribution of payments and required communications with agencies and employees. As part of validation, calculate payments from Gross to net, considering shift differentials and premium pay, deductions (both taxed and pre-tax), and wage garnishments. Follows processing procedures, adheres to policies and maintains confidentiality.
Qualifications:
At a minimum, what you'll need: High School Diploma. 2+ years of payroll related experience. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimum supervision. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Excel Preferred qualifications: Experience using UKG UltiPro and UKG WFD Dimensions.
