We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual who can effectively multitask and manage a wide range of accounting and payroll/HR responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll
  • Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll for both store locations, reconcile payroll to the general ledger, and manage payroll tax filings.
  • HR Administration
  • Oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, maintain personnel files, and update HR/payroll systems.
  • Benefits & Compliance
  • Administer employee benefits (health, life, disability insurance, and 401k) and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Process daily incoming payments and cash receipts, vendor invoices/statements, and check requests.
  • Additional Accounting Duties
  • Perform month-end bank reconciliations, process truck sales, calculate and file Federal Excise Tax, manage sales and use tax filings, and prepare year-end W-2s and 1099s.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Proficiency
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll and accounting software. Prior experience with Great Plains and Procede Software is a plus.
  • Accounting Knowledge
  • Solid understanding of general ledger processes, payroll reconciliations, and core accounting principles.
  • Communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information and clearly explain company policies.
  • Organization
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education/Experience
  • At a minimum requires an Associate's degree in Accounting/Human Resources/Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position that will report directly to the Controller. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
