We're partnering with our client, a large, complex organization that needs a payroll pro who can step in, own the process, and keep things running smoothly across multiple entities. This is a long-term contract opportunity where your expertise will actually be valued—not micromanaged. What You'll Be Doing Own the end-to-end payroll process across multiple entities and pay cycles Handle multi-state payroll tax filings (federal, state, quarterly, annual) Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, timekeeping issues, and system errors Act as the go-to for payroll systems—troubleshooting, enhancements, upgrades, and testing Partner cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, IT, and Accounting to ensure clean data flow and accurate reporting Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and support audit requests Build and pull custom reports using Excel (lookups, pivots) and reporting tools Support system integrations, bank files, and process improvements

What They're Looking For Must-Haves:

3-5+ years of payroll experience (high-volume or multi-entity a plus) Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and wage & hour laws Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Comfortable working with deadlines, details, and problem-solving on the fly Nice to
