Job Description
PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

ControllerPOSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time by managing the weekly payroll process. This role reviews and validates time entries, processes payroll, reconciles data between systems, and maintains accurate payroll records. The Payroll Administrator also processes employee expense reimbursements, supports certified payroll requirements, and works closely with Human Resources on payroll- and employee-related matters.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review employee time entries in the construction accounting system for accuracy and make necessary corrections. Process weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now. Reconcile payroll data between the accounting system and ADP to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes in payroll systems. Monitor projects requiring certified payroll and prepare and submit Davis-Bacon and Prevailing Wage reports as required. Generate payroll and labor reports for management upon request. Review employee expense reports, process reimbursements, and assist with coding travel and related costs to the appropriate projects. Process garnishments, child support orders, and employment verification requests; arrange deductions and payments and communicate with agencies as needed. Respond to and resolve employee questions related to timesheets, pay, pay stubs, and expense reimbursements. Stay current on changes in payroll, labor laws, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with the Human Resources team and assist with annual open enrollment and other HR-related tasks as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREDSKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES
: Experience using payroll software (ADP Workforce Now preferred). Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of payroll and accounting processes and procedures. High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics. Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and file management skills.EDUCATION
: Associates Degree in Accounting; or equivalent experienceWORK EXPERIENCE
: Multiple years of experience performing detailed payroll or accounting work, preferably with multi-jurisdictional experience.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
: Visual acuity to process paperwork. Ability to remain seated at a desk for extended periods. Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment with a sense of urgency.
