Payroll Specialist About Us:
Twin Resources is a design/build construction firm specializing in landscape construction and maintenance. We're a leading landscape construction firm specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. From concept to completion, we blend artistry and technical expertise to craft exceptional outdoor spaces. Position Summary The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payrolls for all hourly and salaried workforce, ensuring accurate wage calculations, job costing, and compliance wage regulations. This role plays a critical part in supporting project operations by aligning payroll with job schedules, labor tracking, and project budgets. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work within deadlines while supporting employees and management with payroll-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities- Process weekly payroll for field crews, supervisors, and office staff
- Review and verify timecards, job codes, and labor allocations across multiple projects
- Accurately calculate wages including overtime, differentials, and bonuses
- Track and allocate labor costs to specific jobs for accurate job costing and reporting
- Prepare prevailing wage reports when applicable
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for public works projects
- Process employee deductions including benefits and garnishments,
- Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to resolve time discrepancies
- Maintain accurate employee records, including classifications, pay rates, and certifications
- Assist with onboarding payroll setup for new hires and offboarding for terminations
- Support audits, including certified payroll and workers' compensation audits
- Prepare year-end reporting including W-2s and 1099s as necessary Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) 3+ years of payroll processing experience Knowledge of payroll systems and accounting systems (e.
