Payroll Specialist

Job DescriptionJob Description Dynamic established and growing service organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist to join their growing service-based company located in Western Suffolk County. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with strong payroll and accounts payable experience who is looking for long-term growth opportunities within a stable and expanding organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using ISolve payroll software and QuickBooks, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Process weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll accurately using ISolve payroll software Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Experience with prevailing wage jobs Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable functions utilizing QuickBooks Reconcile invoices, vendor statements, and expense reports Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information Will interact with payroll admins from multiple offices to review and reconcile payroll Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of payroll and Accounts Payable experience Experience with ISolve payroll software is a plus Proficiency in QuickBooks, specifically Accounts Payable functions Strong understanding of payroll procedures and accounting principles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work independently Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Excellent benefits package Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Stable and supportive work environment Company DescriptionWelcome to The John Michael Group The John Michael Group is committed to recruiting skilled professionals in the fields of Accounting, Tax & Finance.
