In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will drive efficiency and compliance across our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead payroll operations, collaborate with human resources, and uphold the integrity of financial data within a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Duties Manage comprehensive payroll functions using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Process payroll data entry with precision, including employee hours, salary adjustments, benefits deductions, and tax information. Reconcile payroll accounts and perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records. Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll expenses and benefits administration. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations; handle tax filings and reporting requirements. Collaborate with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to update employee records and manage benefits administration. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or anomalies; implement corrective actions promptly. Support accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll transactions; assist with governmental accounting as needed. Perform detailed account reconciliation tasks including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting. Assist in audit preparations by providing accurate payroll documentation and reports. Requirements Proven experience managing payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro or equivalent HRIS platforms. Strong knowledge of payroll management principles combined with familiarity in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar tools. Solid understanding of financial concepts including journal entries, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting. Experience working with benefits administration and non-profit or governmental accounting is a plus. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is essential. Demonstrated analysis skills for identifying discrepancies and resolving complex payroll issues efficiently. Background in human resources functions related to payroll processing and employee data management. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
