Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our finance team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes with precision and efficiency, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will help streamline payroll operations, support benefits administration, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations. Duties Process payroll using Foundation Software to ensure timely and accurate employee payments Perform data entry and reconcile payroll data with accounting software like Excel or other financial tools to maintain data integrity Manage benefits administration related to payroll, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll transactions and ensure proper coding within the general ledger Assist with tax compliance by calculating and remitting payroll taxes accurately and on schedule Support HRIS systems integration for seamless payroll processing and employee data management Collaborate with accounting teams to perform month-end closing activities involving payroll entries and reporting Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, audits, and compliance documentation for internal review and external audits Experience Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate or non-profit setting Proficiency with payroll software such as Foundation, Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, or Ceridian is essential Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and journal entries Familiarity with financial concepts related to benefits administration, governmental accounting standards, tax regulations, and non-profit accounting practices Demonstrated ability in data entry accuracy and handling high-volume transactions using 10 key typing skills Knowledge of HRIS systems integration and experience working with accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms is highly desirable Analytical skills necessary for account reconciliation, financial analysis, and troubleshooting payroll discrepancies Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially in a fast-paced environment Join us as a Payroll Specialist to bring your expertise in financial software and payroll management into a role that makes a real difference!
