Payroll Coordinator The Superior Group - 3.9 Columbus, OH Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish Microsoft Excel Payroll tax Microsoft Outlook Regulatory compliance ERP systems ADP Personnel records management Task prioritization Data entry Microsoft Teams Construction 1 year Cross-functional collaboration Payroll processing Regulatory compliance management Entry level Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Superior is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations and ensure the timely and accurate processing of weekly wages. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with multi-state wage laws, union agreements, and company policies. It requires strong prioritization skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and close partnership with HR, Finance, and Operations. Key Responsibilities Process full-cycle weekly payroll for union and non-union employees, including importing/exporting files and managing payroll communications through Outlook and Teams Collect and verify employee and timekeeping data, and perform accurate data entry for payroll processing Calculate wages, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related items, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies Update and audit payroll records for new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and tax elections Maintain accurate employee records and payroll transactions, including issuing final payments when necessary Ensure compliance with company policies, tax and deduction laws, and industry regulations Prepare and distribute payroll and Certified Payroll Reports for management and audits, ensuring data accuracy and completeness Your Characteristics You're a self-starter, highly organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail You're a great communicator, and ready to work with colleagues across our job sites and organization You have a customer-focused mentality You're a team player and can adapt to change You're able to exercise confidentiality and discretion when dealing with data and sensitive information
Your Expertise Required:
You have at least 1 year of experience in data entry and payroll administration
Required:
You're proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly
Excel Bonus Points:
You're familiar with CMiC and/or ADP, and have experience working with other ERP systems or third-party payroll providers
Bonus Points:
You have experience in skilled trades, union payroll, or the construction industry
Bonus Points:
You have experience with payroll tax, including multi-state and local
Bonus Points:
If you're bilingual in Spanish/English
