Payroll Coordinator Eugene, OR Job Details 12 days ago Qualifications Associate's degree in accounting Microsoft Excel Financial data reconciliation Microsoft Outlook Regulatory compliance High school diploma or GED Analysis skills Math Associate's degree Accrual accounting Accounting Communication skills Payroll processing Entry level Under 1 year Financial compliance Full Job Description Job Summary The Payroll Coordinator supports the accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 2,300 employees across JCK Restaurants and affiliates. This role ensures compliance with all applicable payroll laws and internal policies while maintaining confidentiality and high attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Process termination payments, including calculations for accrued benefits and final wages. Assist with reviewing timekeeping data and processing individual payroll transactions. Support personnel updates including new hires, promotions, raises, separations, and deductions. Verify and process event timesheets with proper coding and manager approvals. Generate and reconcile payroll summary reports. Assist in producing post-payroll reports for management review. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and financial data. Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field
Experience:
0-2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training Skills & Competencies Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., in-house or cloud-based platforms) Strong math and analytical skills Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook Excellent attention to detail and understanding of accruals Ability to independently identify and resolve problems Effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity Additional Information Minimal physical demands; standard office environment ADA accommodations available as needed •The identify of all new hires will be verified by E-Verify•
