$28•35/hour DOE (Benefits Included) Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support high-volume payroll operations within a manufacturing and/or construction environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, with a strong focus on timekeeping, compliance, and multi-job or union-based pay structures. Key Responsibilities Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees (including multi-state if applicable) Review and audit timecards, job costing, and labor allocations across multiple projects or job sites Ensure compliance with prevailing wage, union agreements, and certified payroll reporting (if applicable) Maintain payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings Coordinate with HR and Accounting to resolve discrepancies, onboarding/offboarding changes, and pay adjustments Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports in compliance with federal, state (Oregon), and local regulations Support audits and generate payroll reports for leadership and finance teams Manage PTO tracking, overtime calculations, and shift differentials Assist with implementation or optimization of payroll/timekeeping systems Requirements 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction environments Strong understanding of hourly payroll, overtime rules, and job costing Experience with prevailing wage and/or union payroll (highly preferred) Knowledge of Oregon labor laws and payroll tax requirements Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG, or similar ERP systems) Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data auditing) High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification Experience with certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon) Exposure to ERP systems used in construction/manufacturing (e.g., Viewpoint, Timberline, NetSuite, SAP) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
