Job Summary:
A well-established construction company located in the Denver Tech Center is adding a key member to their team. We are seeking an experienced Certified Payroll professional with deep knowledge of prevailing wage and apprenticeship programs to support compliance efforts across active projects. Duties of the
Certified Payroll Specialist:
Process and manage multi-state, weekly payroll for roughly 2,000 employees in Paylocity Maintain complete adherence to weekly certified payroll reporting obligations for projects subject to the Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage regulations Examine and verify all weekly certified payroll reports, submitting them accurately and addressing any rejected filings through investigation and correction as needed Review and correct weekly certified payroll submissions to guarantee accuracy and regulatory compliance Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and generate comprehensive payroll reports Respond to payroll-related inquiries, wage report requests, and support tax reporting and external auditing agency requests Assist with year-end payroll closing, audit tasks, and compliance reporting obligations Requirements of the
Certified Payroll Specialist:
Experience in prevailing wage payroll (required) Paylocity is a preferred software 5+ years of experience in prevailing wage compliance or certified payroll administration required Strong working knowledge of federal and state prevailing wage laws and apprenticeship program requirements Experience reviewing and auditing subcontractor certified payroll reports
Benefits:
Annual bonus: 15%
