Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a part-time hybrid Payroll Administrator (25 to 30 hours) and become the heartbeat of our payroll and HR operations! In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing with precision, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will support our commitment to compliance, data integrity, and employee satisfaction. This position offers an energetic environment where your attention to detail and technical skills will drive efficiency and accuracy across our financial operations. This part-time hybrid position requires 100% on site work in Riverhead during training period then periodically thereafter. Process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paycom, Paychex, Ceridian, or similar platforms, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Maintain and update employee records related to compensation, benefits administration, and tax information within HRIS systems. Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting practices, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping. Manage accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses and vendor payments using accounting software like QuickBooks or similar tools. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing tax filings and managing related documentation. Assist with benefits administration tasks such as enrollment updates, leave management, and employee inquiries. Perform data entry with high accuracy for payroll transactions, timekeeping records, and financial reports while maintaining confidentiality. Support governmental accounting requirements by preparing reports for audits or regulatory agencies. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors; implement corrective actions promptly. Collaborate with human resources to ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other employment updates. Proven experience managing payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paycom, Paychex, or equivalent platforms. Strong knowledge of payroll management processes combined with familiarity in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar programs. Experience with HRIS systems for employee data management; knowledge of benefits administration is a plus. Familiarity with wage and hour regs in hospitality a plus. Excellent analysis skills for reviewing payroll data; keen attention to detail is essential. Ability to perform data entry efficiently using 10 key typing skills; strong organizational skills are required. Pay:
$32.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
