Job Description

Payroll AdministratorDirect-Hire / Permanent positionRobert Half contact: Drew.

Schroll@RobertHalf com. HYBRID work model with 1-2 days working from home after the first 3-6 months of training.
  • Candidates must be within 25 miles of New Britain, CT
  • Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support our client's (non-profit industry) payroll operations at their corporate office.
This role is responsible for maintaining employee payroll records, coordinating payroll processing across assigned groups, and addressing questions or issues with professionalism and discretion. The ideal candidate brings hands-on payroll experience, strong data accuracy, and the ability to work confidently with third-party payroll platforms in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Weekly and Bi-Weekly payroll processing for up to 500 employees
  • Reviewing time sheets
  • Enter and verify payroll changes such as new hires, returns to work, separations, position changes, and pay rate updates.
  • Audit timekeeping information, reconcile reported hours, and confirm payroll data is correctly submitted each pay period.
  • Investigate payroll variances and correct discrepancies, omissions, or calculation issues in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees, internal departments, and authorized third parties.
  • Administer user access for payroll systems and maintain supporting documentation for permissions and related records.
