Payroll Analyst

Our client, located in Nashville, TN is seeking a temp to hire Payroll Analyst to join their growing team. This position will be processing for their 200 employees on a bi-weekly schedule , and will also support general accounting functions. This position is offering a hybrid schedule, with at least one day a week in office required.

Duties:

Process bi-weekly and supplemental payroll accurately and on schedule Ensure full compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations Manage garnishments, deductions, and payroll reconciliations Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile related liability accounts Support accounts receivable functions, including billing and invoicing Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations Oversee insurance renewals, business licenses, and administrative accounting activities Maintain and document payroll and accounting procedures Cross-train team members on payroll processes and drive continuous improvements Provide support on ad hoc accounting and finance projects

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required 2+ years experience in payroll processing 1-2 years of general accounting experience Experience with payroll taxes, garnishments, payroll reconciliations, and payroll journal entries Accounts receivable and billing support experience Experience preparing journal entries and assisting with month-end close

Pay:

$30-$38/hour, depending on experience Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
