Responsible for processing the company payroll timely & accurately. Maintains ADP database, prepares payroll reconciliation to ensure accuracy, produces reports for approval, addresses employee inquiries, calculates pay changes for salary modifications, leaves, terminations & new hires. Responsible for payroll of the organization as well as all benefit programs; reporting. Maintains excellent relations with managers and EDA staff to ensure that payroll is accurate and timely. Must possess extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. Supports all HR initiatives and programs Skills required: Experience with multi‑state payroll. HRIS experience (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG). Familiarity with benefits, timekeeping systems, or accounting interfaces. Strong customer service skills and comfort working cross‑functionally. Must be able to; maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, proficient in grammar, spelling, editing and foster communications with business professionals and EDA staff Experience with emphasis payroll & benefits Process bi-weekly, semi‑monthly, or monthly payrolls, including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, and adjustments. Maintain and update employee payroll records (new hires, terminations, rate changes, tax forms, deductions). Review and validate timesheets for accuracy and policy compliance. Handle payroll funding, general ledger entries, and payroll account reconciliations. Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies. Prepare payroll reports for HR, Finance, and auditors as needed. Ensure compliance with wage laws, tax requirements, garnishments, and labor regulations. Support year‑end activities (W‑2s, 1099s, audits, etc.). Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information. Coordinate with HR, accounting, and benefits teams to ensure payroll accuracy.Experience required:
Experience with ADP or similar payroll platforms 2-4 years of payroll experience Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations. Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and payroll reporting. Ability to manage confidential information professionally.Work hours:
