Job DescriptionJob Description A growing company located in The Woodlands is seeking a Payroll Tax Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for supporting daily, quarterly, and annual payroll tax filings, reconciliations, tax setup, and notice resolution in a multi-state environment. This position is fully onsite initially for training and onboarding, with the potential for a hybrid schedule after hire based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities Process and support payroll tax filings and reconciliations Manage tax notices, agency correspondence, and issue resolution Research tax codes and complete tax setup for new accounts Communicate with clients and internal teams to gather tax information Maintain accurate payroll tax data in internal systems Qualifications 5+ years of payroll tax experience Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations Experience with notice resolution and multi-state payroll Familiarity with MasterTax, payroll systems, CRM tools, and Excel Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
