This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume payroll environment and takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and supporting employees across the organization. This position offers a hybrid schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization making an impact in the community. Must live in San Diego County.
Pay:
$26-$31/hour Key Responsibilities Process biweekly payroll and assist with off-cycle payments as needed Review payroll data for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations Reconcile payroll reports and validate imported data prior to processing Handle payroll adjustments including retro pay, garnishments, and other special transactions Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings and direct deposit information Support onboarding processes related to payroll, including benefit and time-off setup Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year-end processes Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations Qualifications 3-5+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment Experience working with payroll systems; Dayforce experience highly preferred Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements Proficiency in Excel and general accounting systems Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
