Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Tax Specialist to join our clients team in Mesa, Arizona to work a hybrid schedule. In this role, you will focus on managing payroll tax operations, ensuring compliance, and handling complex reconciliations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a structured and process-driven environment while contributing to a collaborative team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll tax responsibilities across multiple states, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Process and reconcile payroll tax data using proprietary systems.
- Handle payroll tax filings, including withholding, unemployment insurance, Social Security, and Medicare.
- Perform detailed reconciliations for large datasets to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and submit tax payments and reports internally.
- Follow established procedures and documentation to complete tasks independently.
- Collaborate with team members to address payroll tax inquiries and provide solutions.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting.
- Support quarterly-end processes, adhering to blackout dates and deadlines.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll tax laws and regulations.

- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including pivot tables and data analysis.
- Experience managing and reconciling large volumes of payroll tax data.
- Ability to navigate and learn proprietary systems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- Familiarity with payroll tax laws and requirements across multiple states.
