Job Description

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to support payroll operations for a contract assignment in Dunkirk, New York. This role is ideal for someone with strong end-to-end payroll expertise who can manage accurate, timely processing across multiple states and maintain compliance with established payroll practices. The position will work with ADP Workforce Now and contribute to dependable payroll administration for an employee population of approximately 101 to 500 workers.
Responsibilities:
  • Process complete payroll cycles for a multi-state employee group, ensuring wages, deductions, taxes, and adjustments are handled accurately and on schedule.
  • Administer payroll activities in ADP Workforce Now, including data entry, review, validation, and final submission.
  • Audit payroll information for discrepancies and resolve issues related to hours worked, earnings, tax withholdings, and employee records.
  • Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to gather approved payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, status updates, and compensation adjustments.
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and management with clear, timely, and thorough communication.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations affecting a workforce across multiple jurisdictions.
