Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing and processing payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced accounting environment. Key Responsibilities Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for multiple clients Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions Maintain and update employee payroll records Handle payroll tax filings (federal, state, and local) and ensure compliance with all regulations Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies Manage direct deposits, payroll reports, and year-end processing (W-2s, 1099s) Respond to client and employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations Collaborate with accounting staff on client accounts and financial reporting Qualifications 2+ years of payroll processing experience (multi-client or firm experience preferred) Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax filings, and compliance requirements Experience with payroll/accounting software (QuickBooks, Onvio, ADP, Gusto, or similar) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Preferred Qualifications Experience in a public accounting firm Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification (a plus, not required)
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
