Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to provide dependable payroll and HR support in Greenville, South Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage routine payroll operations, support compliance activities, and contribute to a fast-moving environment shaped by organizational growth. The role will work across a multi-state employee population and help maintain accurate payroll practices while supporting key HR administrative processes.

Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll activities accurately and on schedule for employees across multiple states and pay groups.
• Review payroll data, validate earnings and deductions, and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely and correct payment.
• Support HR compliance efforts by maintaining records, assisting with policy-related administration, and helping uphold payroll regulations.
• Use ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll transactions, run reports, and monitor employee payroll information.
• Assist with tracking performance management milestones and other recurring HR administrative activities.
• Help coordinate payroll-related updates tied to benefits administration, including retirement plan changes when needed.
• Prepare standard payroll and HR reports for internal stakeholders and respond to routine data requests.
• Collaborate with HR and business leaders to support a distributed workforce operating within a divisional structure. Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience in payroll or a combined payroll and HR support role.
• Hands-on experience processing full-cycle payroll from data review through final submission.
• Ability to manage payroll for a multi-state employee population with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and confidence using payroll systems for reporting and administration.
• Experience supporting payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees.
• Working knowledge of payroll compliance requirements, employee deductions, and recordkeeping practices.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
