Job DescriptionJob Description Payroll Analyst 4 month contract Hybrid onsite in Rock Hill, SC Must have UKG experience Multi-state, benefit reconciliation, managing pension or commission are all preferred We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to independently manage end‐to‐end payroll operations. This role will own payroll processing across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent employee experience. As a one‐person payroll function, this role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously. Responsibilities Own and process end‐to‐end payroll, including: Bi‐weekly payroll for U.S. and Canada employees Monthly payroll for employees in the UK, India, and Italy Administer payroll using UKG (preferred) or alternative systems such as Kronos or ADP Manage payroll across multiple systems, ensuring accurate data integration and reconciliation Handle multi‐state U.S. payroll, including state and local tax setup, compliance, and filings Perform benefits reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with internal and external partners Manage pension plan changes and contributions for UK and Canada employees Process bonuses, commissions, and other variable compensation as needed Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international payroll laws and regulations Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to continuously improve payroll processes and controls Maintain payroll documentation, audit support, and data confidentiality Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of end‐to‐end payroll processing experience Experience managing payroll for multi‐state U.S. employees, including state tax setup Hands‐on experience with benefits reconciliation Experience working independently as a sole payroll owner or in a highly autonomous role Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with UKG (highly preferred); experience with Kronos or ADP also acceptable Experience managing payroll across multiple countries (U.S., Canada, UK, India, Italy) Experience managing pension plans and pension changes in the UK and Canada Experience processing bonuses and commission payments Strong problem‐solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
