Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support construction payroll and labor compliance activities for a Long-term Contract position based in Lewisville, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for someone who understands certified payroll requirements and can manage documentation, reporting, and issue resolution in a fast-paced, fully in-office environment. The role works closely with project teams and subcontractors to help maintain compliance across active construction projects while ensuring payroll records are accurate and timely.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare certified payroll reports and labor compliance documentation for construction-related projects, ensuring submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Investigate discrepancy notices, gather supporting records, and coordinate timely responses to resolve payroll or compliance issues.
  • Review payroll and labor records through routine compliance checks to confirm alignment with applicable regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor certified payroll submissions and follow up on missing or incomplete items to maintain contractual compliance.
  • Partner with internal project stakeholders to organize payroll-related data and support documentation needed for audits and reporting.
  • Maintain detailed records in payroll and compliance systems, using spreadsheets and internal tools to track status, deadlines, and outstanding items.
  • Assist with training-related travel as needed during the initial onboarding period while supporting in-office operations Monday through Friday.
  • Contribute to accurate payroll administration within a high-volume environment by coordinating information across multiple workstreams and jurisdictions.
  • Prior experience processing construction certified payroll is required.
  • Strong understanding of labor compliance requirements within the construction industry.
  • Experience supporting audits or performing compliance reviews related to payroll and labor regulations.
  • Ability to research discrepancies, compile documentation, and meet firm deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Advanced organizational skills and close attention to detail in handling sensitive payroll information.
  • Proficiency with Viewpoint, compliance tracking tools, Microsoft Excel, and federal labor law requirements.
  • Effective communication skills for working with internal teams, subcontractors, and external reviewers.
  • Background in full-cycle payroll, multi-state payroll, and high-volume payroll processing, ideally including ADP Workforce Now.
